Merek Greene is a 20 year old REALTOR® from Orange County, CA. He works as an agent at The One Group powered by compass, covering residential real estate across Southern California - from Los Angeles to San Diego. Merek is proud to work on a team with incredible accomplishments, including over $100 million dollars in sales. The One Group has a client first-mindset serving residential properties, investment properties, and more. As the only college student on the team, Merek brings a fresh and younger approach to the industry, focusing on tying in creative social media marketing to cater to the 21st Century online world. He is passionate about research-based, creative strategies that grow the brokerage. Merek is excited about jumpstarting his real estate career with a fresh, energetic approach.

Although Merek is younger, that only makes him hungrier to learn and absorb all of the information and training he can. It lights a fire inside of him to prove people wrong and show that he can get the job done. Merek will give 110% to help a client, and just need to convince them to take a leap and believe that he can do it.
HOW MEREK GOT STARTED
Merek has always been intrigued in how homes are designed, built, and sold. This is what sparked his interest in real estate and what ultimately got him to where he is now. When he first got to college in the fall of 2020, he had his sights set on the music business. Amidst a rocky freshman year of college due to COVID-19, Merek moved home at the end of the fall semester and found himself with a lot of free time. While watching one of his favorite childhood real estate shows, he considered real estate as a career possibility for the first time.

So, in December of 2020, he studied to get his license and went full steam ahead. He completed his courses and applied for the test date. Before his school year came to a close, he knew he needed to get some sort of internship. He knew that if he wanted to make real estate a career he had to put in the hard work and get his foot in the door. Merek cold called agent after agent trying to find someone to take him under their wing so he could learn the business. Seeing other agents around his age lit a fire inside him to be successful. He thought if other people his age are doing it, why couldn’t he? Finally, after hours of researching top brokerages and calling agents, Keller Williams Newport Estates answered and he was able to sit down for an interview.

​Merek landed the phenomenal opportunity of interning at Cindy Chin Realty during the summer of 2021. After moving to San Diego full time, Merek wanted to join a new millennial team that stressed the importance of an online presence and technology advanced marketing strategy. Today Merek Greene is a 20 year old real estate agent in Southern California and is loving every minute of it. He works on an amazing team that is knowledgeable in every aspect of real estate and beyond. Merek is learning so much about the business and is excited for what the future holds.
